Welcome to My World of Creation!
Hi — I’m Tea.
Artist, radio host, and lifelong maker of beautiful, slightly chaotic things.
I’ve been building worlds for as long as I can remember.
It started with crayons, office supplies, and an imagination that refused to sit still -
turning chicken pox quarantine into an art residency, and a Spirograph into a portal.
Give me Shrinky Dinks, silly putty, and a comic book…
and I was already somewhere else entirely.
I grew up wandering the halls of the Art Institute of Chicago, wide-eyed and
certain I’d find my place in that kind of magic.
Somewhere along the way… I did.
Today, my work lives at the intersection of sound, story, and design -
through Studio TeaZilla, Velvet Umbrella Radio, and the worlds that continue to grow around them.
Whether I’m building a show, shaping a visual identity, or turning a memory
into something you can hear and feel…
the goal stays the same:
Create something that resonates.
Something that lingers.
Something that feels like it belongs to you.
A Lifelong Love for Creativity
This isn’t just what I do - it’s how I move through the world.
Creativity has been my constant.
Through every twist, every shift, every reinvention… it’s been the thread that holds things together and the compass that points me forward.
Over time, I’ve seen what art can really do.
How an object can carry memory.
How color and composition can shift a feeling.
How a story - told the right way - can open something deeper.
That’s the heartbeat behind everything I create.
My path has taken me through many mediums, many forms, many unexpected doors…
-but now, the focus is clear.
I work with musicians, DJs, and story-driven creators to build projects that don’t just exist-
they resonate.
Whether it’s a visual identity, a show, an album, or a full creative world, the approach stays the same:
Thoughtful.
Intentional.
Built with feeling.
Because in the end…
it’s never just about design.
It’s about the story underneath it.
And helping that story find its form.
